R. Monti Reynolds, Partner

Monti Reynolds has decades of experience in the transactional aspects of business and real estate law. In 2004, he founded the Reynolds Law Group which, with the addition of extraordinary partners, would eventually become Reynolds Tilbury Woodward, LLP. A respected member of the Placer County legal and business community since 1993, Mr. Reynolds has a well-earned reputation as an outstanding attorney and trusted advisor to his many clients.

While based in Auburn, Mr. Reynolds’ practice has included Fortune 100 clients and nine figure transactions. He has been a key player in transactions throughout the United States and around the world, including matters in Poland, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, the Philippines and Honduras. Mr. Reynolds is equally comfortable in addressing local issues, where his knowledge of players and politics and reputation for integrity have provided great value to clients. Mr. Reynolds has overseen the formation of dozens of startups, the purchase and sale of businesses and substantial real estate holdings, and the development and construction of major projects, including power plants and industrial facilities. He embodies the Reynolds Tilbury Woodward philosophy, coupling intimate local knowledge with global experience.

After working in the business and real estate departments of the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster and as in house legal counsel to Live Oak Enterprises and Sutter Bay Associates, leading real estate development companies, Mr. Reynolds founded his own legal practice in Auburn, California in 1993. Mr. Reynolds is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley’s Boalt Hall School of Law.

Mr. Reynolds leads seminars in business succession planning. He formulated the curriculum for Leadership Auburn’s course on planning and land use and taught portions of the course for more than a decade.

Mr. Reynolds served as Chairman of the City of Auburn Economic Development Commission for more than five years. He served as a Director of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce for more than a decade and was President of the Chamber in 2000/2001. Mr. Reynolds is a member of the Real Estate Law and Business Law Sections of the California State Bar and of the Placer County Bar Association. He is an active member of Auburn Rotary. His personal interests include trail running, mountain biking, alpine skiing, photography, history and writing.
